San Mateo County, California’s supervisors voted Tuesday to donate $1 million to America’s largest abortion chain while doing nothing to help pregnancy information centers and other support services for mothers choosing life for their babies.
The Women’s Reproductive Freedom and Healthcare Privacy Action Plan will give $1 million to Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, half of which will be used to purchase new ultrasound equipment and exam beds, according to the report. It is not yet known what the other half of the money will be used for. The Daily Journal reports that provincial leaders voted unanimously in favor of the spending measure.
The provincial regulators introduced the new spending measure in response to the likelihood that the U.S. Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade this summer and allow states to once again protect unborn babies from abortion, the report said.
Local Planned Parenthood leaders praised the move and described the supervisors as champions of “reproductive health care.”

“Your continued support and partnership are greatly appreciated and serve as a clear example of what our elected leaders can do to champion reproductive health care proactively,” said Dianna Zamora-Marroquin, spokesperson for Planned Parenthood Mar Monte.
This year, Governor Gavin Newsom also plans to spend an additional $145 million on abortions. The money would be used to fund elective abortions for women whose insurance does not cover it, government promotion of abortion, travel and lodging expenses for women who must travel for abortions and incentives for medical students to become abortion doctors.
Newsom said abortion is one of California’s “values” and that he will “fight like hell” to “protect” it. He also wants California to become an abortion destination for women in states that are expected to ban killing unborn babies if Roe is destroyed.
The actions of these politicians do not help women or families. They’re not even pro-choice; they actively promote killing unborn babies in abortions and do nothing to help maternity care centers that support mothers and babies in need.
The money and effort can go a long way toward helping families, such as expanding prenatal and other basic medical care to reduce infant and maternal deaths, providing financial aid and housing, education, counseling, and more. But leaders in California want to support abortion instead.
A new report from the Guttmacher Institute shows an 8 percent increase in abortion rates nationwide from 2017 to 2020, with the biggest jumps in California, Illinois, and other Democrat-led states that have been aggressive about hiring pros. And more unborn babies are being aborted due to California’s radical pro-abortion laws. -abortion legislation.
California has few restrictions on abortion, forcing taxpayers to pay for it. A new law that goes into effect next year will force all public colleges and universities to practice abortions on campus. Newsom lawmakers and Democrats are also working closely with the abortion industry to expand abortion in other ways.
